Karon Ohm grew up on a farm in the Holy Hill area, about one hour from Milwaukee, Wisconsin.  She helped her family raise honey bees and maintained an apple orchard.  Her father was an advertising copy writer that owned his own ad agency along with her mother, who was involved in Community Theater. Karon attended a three room school house from first to eighth grade after flunking out of Montessori Kindergarten.

 

She graduated from University of Wisconsin – Madison with a bachelor’s degree in Consumer Science, a study of consumer behavior and advocacy, which was a blend of accounting, marketing, journalism, psychology and design.

 

Karon is the mother of four children, ages 18 - 27.  While they were growing up she had a marketing firm and volunteered as a visiting board member at UW Madision -School Of Human Ecology.

 

She enjoys the marketing & design aspects of Hands On Art Glass.

 

Karon also creates jewelry in several different mediums; glass, beads and fine silver.

 

And she is also Packer Fan!
